CX0092 – Sterling Silver Ball Bar Clasp South Sea Gold White Keshi Roundel Rivière Strand – 41cm
Pickup currently not available
Named for the Latin word meaning "golden," Aurelia celebrates the timeless elegance of rivière design with South Sea keshi roundels graduating from 3-8mm in a stunning gold-to-white transition. This classic French jewellery technique creates a "river of light" that flows gracefully around the neck, each roundel perfectly positioned to create seamless visual harmony.
The rivière style, beloved by European nobility for centuries, finds new expression in these exquisite South Sea keshi roundels. Beginning with rich golden honey tones at the centre, the strand gradually transitions through champagne and cream to pristine white, creating an ombré effect that captures the essence of a golden sunset melting into moonlight.
Each keshi roundel has been carefully selected not only for its size but for its place in this colour symphony. The 8mm centre stones provide dramatic focal presence, whilst the strand gracefully tapers to delicate 3mm roundels that sit beautifully at the nape. This graduated sizing creates the classic rivière silhouette that has adorned elegant necks for generations.
The South Sea origin ensures exceptional lustre and depth of colour. These aren't simply white and gold pearls—they're living canvases that shift and dance with light, revealing subtle overtones of rose, silver, and cream that make each viewing a new discovery.
The 41cm length positions this strand perfectly at the collarbone, where the rivière style shows to greatest advantage. The sterling silver ball and bar clasp provides both security and sophistication, its clean lines complementing rather than competing with the strand's elegant flow.
Aurelia represents the marriage of classical technique with natural artistry—where centuries-old European craftsmanship meets the pristine waters of South Sea pearl cultivation. It's jewellery that understands its heritage whilst embracing contemporary elegance.

Something about pearls
A little bit more about Tahitian pearl, South Sea pearl, and Keshi from both bivalves (according to GIA)
Although commonly known as Tahitian Black Pearl, its body colour varies from silver to black to green to purple, with multiple coloured overtone which not seen in other pearls from the same oyster family. From Pinctada margaritifera (black-lipped pearl oyster), Tahitian pearls are cultivated primarily around the islands of French Polynesia (the most familiar of which is Tahiti), these saltwater cultured pearls usually range from white to black. Other colours include dark metallic greens and purples (sometimes called aubergine). The usual size is about 8 mm to 17 mm, although larger pearls exist in limited quantities. (GIA: These overtones and/or secondary hues may be green, pink, purple, or a combination of colours leading to such exotic and descriptive terms as “Peacock,” “Aubergine,” or “Pistachio.” On rare occasions, white, brown, and yellow primary bodycolours with a range of overtones may also be found.)
South Sea pearls have much softer but equally shiny body colours of white, cream, silver, or golden. Produced by Pinctada maxima mollusk, commonly referred to as the “South Sea pearl oyster,” is the largest of the Pinctada genus. It has 2 common forms: Silver-lipped and gold-lipped, producing the white body-coloured pearls and golden body-coloured pearls.
There are bead-cultured pearl and non-bead-cultured pearl, also known in the trade as Keshi (Japanese for “poppyseed”) Pearls from both of the Pinctada genus, formed without being intentionally nucleated in mollusks while undergoing pearl cultivation, resulting an accidental non-bead-cultured pearl. Although a by-product, Keshi is a wonder of nature in its own right, and is valuable and in demand.
