Ocean Mist
Ocean Mist is a 90cm strand of silver-hued Tahitian Keshi pearls, each one hand-strung with care and intention. A necklace made for quiet moments and ocean lovers. Multicoloured overtones, sterling silver accents, and a story in every curve - made for the woman who collects memories, not just things.
There’s something undeniably enchanting about pearls that shimmer like moonlight on ocean waves. This necklace, affectionately named Ocean Mist, is a quiet tribute to that fleeting, magical hour just after dawn - when the sea blushes silver and the world holds its breath. Hand-strung with unwavering care and intention, each pearl in this 90cm-long station necklace is a marvel in itself.
These are no ordinary pearls - they are multicoloured Tahitian cultured Keshi pearls, chosen for their ethereal, naturally irregular shapes and soft silver hues, each glistening with orient overtones like whispers of a secret tide. Some gleam with hints of lavender, others with mossy greens and stormy greys - together, they sing a chorus of the ocean’s moods.
Threaded on high-quality jewellery wire and finished with 925 sterling silver findings, the strand is interspersed with sterling silver tube and round beads that catch the light like morning frost. The necklace drapes effortlessly whether worn long and flowing or wrapped twice for a layered, collared look. Its fluidity gives it a versatile soul - modern yet timeless, bold yet serene. There is something deeply grounding about wearing a piece like this. The pearls, formed without a nucleus, are pure nacre - the ocean’s poetry in solid form. No two are ever alike, and that’s precisely the point. This is not jewellery that shouts. This is jewellery that knows its own story and waits quietly to become part of yours.
Whether gifted to mark a birthday, a graduation, an anniversary, or simply worn because you deserve beauty close to your heart, Ocean Mist is a necklace that will never fade into the background. It is what some might call a "station necklace", though this one travels far from the ordinary - made for the woman who collects stories, not just accessories.
I hope you enjoy every moment of wearing it, just as I enjoyed creating it. If diamond is the king of gems, then the pearls in this piece most certainly live up to their title as Queen.

Something about pearls
A little bit more about Tahitian pearl, South Sea pearl, and Keshi from both bivalves (according to GIA)
Although commonly known as Tahitian Black Pearl, its body colour varies from silver to black to green to purple, with multiple coloured overtone which not seen in other pearls from the same oyster family. From Pinctada margaritifera (black-lipped pearl oyster), Tahitian pearls are cultivated primarily around the islands of French Polynesia (the most familiar of which is Tahiti), these saltwater cultured pearls usually range from white to black. Other colours include dark metallic greens and purples (sometimes called aubergine). The usual size is about 8 mm to 17 mm, although larger pearls exist in limited quantities. (GIA: These overtones and/or secondary hues may be green, pink, purple, or a combination of colours leading to such exotic and descriptive terms as “Peacock,” “Aubergine,” or “Pistachio.” On rare occasions, white, brown, and yellow primary bodycolours with a range of overtones may also be found.)
South Sea pearls have much softer but equally shiny body colours of white, cream, silver, or golden. Produced by Pinctada maxima mollusk, commonly referred to as the “South Sea pearl oyster,” is the largest of the Pinctada genus. It has 2 common forms: Silver-lipped and gold-lipped, producing the white body-coloured pearls and golden body-coloured pearls.
There are bead-cultured pearl and non-bead-cultured pearl, also known in the trade as Keshi (Japanese for “poppyseed”) Pearls from both of the Pinctada genus, formed without being intentionally nucleated in mollusks while undergoing pearl cultivation, resulting an accidental non-bead-cultured pearl. Although a by-product, Keshi is a wonder of nature in its own right, and is valuable and in demand.
